Description
This blanket is called the “47.6”. We live at the 47.6 parallel north, circle of latitude. Latitude is defined as the angular distance of a place north or south of the earth’s equator, or of a celestial object north or south of the celestial equator, usually expressed in degrees and minutes.
A second definition for latitude is scope for freedom of action or thought. Boy! and how do we treasure scope for freedom to move and think in Montana! Our lives are outdoors. Our minds are restless with the day’s work, issues facing our local communities, and anticipating how events 2,000 miles away will affect our lives. We are connected in a circular electronic latitude and isolated at the same time.
The 47.6 blanket captures two prominent Montana colors, our blue skies and water, and the golden grass and grain filling our eyes to the horizon. It is incredibly soft and lofty. After a day of motion and gravel road mind melds, it is the blanket you want to run to for comfort and warmth.
